5. FERPA Compliance
Skora is committed to complying with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Student education records are protected and will not be disclosed to third parties without explicit consent. Counselors assigned to students can only view the student data necessary to provide advising services. Parents of eligible students have the right to request access to their child's education records.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.
